They have no any ability to protect themselves if they have no guns while their life and property are threatened. Extending an arm to someone in need is one way of saying thank you to God for the blessings I have received each day. I been blessed abundantly and I want to share what God has entrusted to me. There is no such joy when you see someone being blessed and joyful because of what you have done for him or her. I believe that Nursing is caring, it is an art, a science, client centered, holistic, adaptive, concerned with health promotion, health maintenance, and health restoration and most of all I firmly agree that Nursing is a helping profession. It is the nurse’s responsibilities to take care of the client who are in need of health attention. We should be able to help the client relieve his feelings of pain or in other words to alleviate the sufferings of the client but not to the extent that they will be too dependent on us for all activities they will do. They should also be responsible enough to look after themselves and do care for their own bodies like in terms of hygiene, taking of home medications or prescribed medications and to follow the orders of the health team. Most adults care for themselves, whereas infants and people weakened by illness or disability require assistance with self-care activities. To assist those who are incapable of doing self care needs. To help them recover from their illness in order for them to regain their strength and return to their well fit bodies. Clients should be responsible to provide themselves with their personal care needs that sometimes nurses cannot take track due to other responsibilities. Because nursing theory was used primarily to establish the profession’s place in the university, it is not surprising that nursing theory became more firmly established in academia than in clinical practice. It is much advisable to be theoretically competent, that is to excel in the education of nursing, before one can render great service to those who are in health need. One should be able to provide emotional support to those individuals who are ill not just physically but as well as emotionally, nurses should also provide spiritual environment towards the clients so as to give light to their emotions and also guidance. This passion started way back my childhood days. I have seen how horrible the health care system was and witnessed a lot of people who have poor health conditions and my heart really went out with them. I could not believe of what I have witnessed so after witnessing such heart failing scenario, I started dreaming to be a nurse. When I was in my elementary and high school years, I always cracked my books and studied hard, especially in science related subjects, and that determination made me a competent student. Thus, learning the science concepts will transport me to a higher level of science studies that would fulfill my dream to be a nurse. In addition, I know deep in my heart that I am not equipped enough in this area however I am more than willing to learn and spend more time than traditional nurse students in order to build my science foundation. I will not give up this dream of mine until I will achieve it. Moreover, I am a diligent student and never give up easily. I really work hard to achieve my goal. Whatever the people might think of me I believe it is never too late as long as I am sure and motivated that this is the path I want to take in. Moreover, my dream to be a nurse motivated me to involve in science experiments and investigations. I indulged and exposed myself in these studies, so I can gain knowledge and be equipped. The laboratory research exposure has strengthened my investigative and organizational abilities while also becoming familiar with the functions of a medical research department. While the clinical exposure have taught me what it is like to become a nurse, their daily routine, the problem and issue encounter and most importantly how to interact with patients with warmth and encouragement.

Approaches of contemporary globalization The term globalization is multi dimensional, and therefore it can be complex in its definition. It is a method where all political, economic, cultural and social activities start operating at a international level. In recent years there has been a unexpected growth in global connections with the people and communities around the world. The distance between different communities, cultures and countries has become less of a physical distance and can now communicate using new technology. Although the claim that contemporary globalization has made the nation state obsolete depends on which view you look at, as there are 3 different approaches to globalization. This globalization also depends on how you are looking at it from a cultural , economic,political or social point of view. In the UK today we are living in a very diverse society with a lot of different cultural backgrounds. With the use of the internet we are able to communicate around the world , and even the way we dress is starting to look similar to cultures from around the world and we are inspired by their style. This technology is a stepping stone for businesses to become bigger and expand world wide. A nation state is an independent country which has a large amount of people that share the same language, traditions and history but the nations state are being affected by globalization. There are 3 approaches to globalization, internationalist, transformationalist and globalist. The globalist view could be viewed in the eye of a pessimistic globalist or the optimistic or positive globalist. The optimistic view is that globalization is exciting and creating a more diverse society, but still recognise the dangers of global environmental pollution, positive globalizers argue that we could improve the position if we all took some responsibility for reducing unsustainable levels of consumption, and they point to the development of new technologies which are likely to reduce levels of pollution. ( p22, Held 2004). Globalists see that globalization is disappearing as there is less control of the nation states than in the past. Globalization is an inevitable trajectory of development , so any attempts to resist it are doomed to failure. (p22 Held 2004). Internationalists views argue that globalization is a myth. They believe that most economic and social activity is regional rather that global. Transformanationalists views argue that the nation state still remains powerful they also see the problems can be reversed by restructuring and accommodate the new forms of global governance. Looking at the views, the transformanationlaist on globalization making nation state obsolete seems to be the most plausible from any finding at this stage as it seems that the government can adjust there roles instead of losing power altogether. Nation states are seen as blocks of territory with fixed borders, it is argued that these boundaries are not as important as they used to be due to globalization. There has been an increase in the co-operation and mutual understanding between countries as politicians try to elude national boundaries, or which on based in other countries. There has been a dramatic increase in the number of intergovernmental organisations IGOs around the globe from 37 in 1909 to nearly 300 in 1999. Globalists would have us believe that the governments are fragmenting it is more likely the governments are learning to accommodate a more complex international co-ordination than has been in the past. The main problem with this increase in intergovernmental associations is that the foreign office find it more difficult to control the increased amount of intergovernmental operation. Looking at how these organizations set up it is obvious that the representatives for each country are actually representing the nation state they come from. Globalization encourages the growth of communication and organisations that link human kind across the globe. Because the communication link and interaction people are not constrained by their national boundaries , this does not mean that a nation state loses its sovereignty. UK government does not always agree completely in its decisions, However the people of the UK still seem to stay confident in their nation state as this is what we identify ourselves with. The nation state that we identify with most is the UK and is very important because there has been such change over the authorities. Governments might have found themselves subject to actions from other organisations that would of not happened in the past, as back then we would have only cared for our own need without any outside interference. For example the UK government might have been under some sort of control of the EU and the World Trade Organisations. This would have been said to create a more uncertain society in terms of the nation state identity by tranformationalist. According to inter-nationalist there are a few general multi-national corporations than thought they are more accurately described as transnational corporations (TNCs) which are not governed from any national base, and which have a more genuinely international organisation personnels. (Thompson, 2000 p103). The percentage of a countries trade is global and often thought as being greater than it actually is. Globalists view MNCs are taxing over from government power, however this is flawed as it is still the government who has the power to enforce laws and legislation. Transformationalist would argue that there is a new global politics appearing, this does not mean that all government have an equal say in global decision making. The poorest people in the world still have a little say in what goes on. In the UK our nation state is still very important. The government might have to adjust to consider other countries but a majority of these countries are within the EU more than around the world, it looks like the UK government is becoming more regionalised than globalized. USA and the EU and Japan may work together and some other countries ignored, mainly the poorer ones. This is quite true as most powerful economies have more political power than the poor countries that have little power. The UK government may have had to change its roles on a local level more than global level, but the claim that globalization has made the nation state obsolete, its more likely that it is being reshaped within the EU but nothing says if this is really happening at a global level. As we can see in my conclusion is that globalization is changing,and how fast and to what extent that this is happening might be a slightly exaggerated. This does not mean the end of the nation state, it just means that it is being redefined. Globalization in one way or another is creating a more uncertain, yet diverse world. Each of the points have there flaws and their valid areas to each of their arguments, the transformationalists view of the government having to adjust the way it is run is a very valid point. The World of Neonatal Nursing Since neonatal nursing is my special interest and field, I chose to write about the health care options which are available to parents having children in different hospitals throughout the world. With the state of the art technological advances in the neonatal units, there are so many options available for the care of newborn babies. I reviewed the neonatal units in Australia, Saudi Arabia, New York, Tokyo, Ireland, and California, and I have learned what It takes to run a neonatal intensive care unit all around the world. This applies to the hospitals because where the majority of people live, determines how the world changes and grows. Knows and understands that culture and experience influence people’s perceptions of places and experiences. This applies to the way that different cultures view different procedures in a hospital setting, as well as a worldly setting. The first hospital that I reviewed was the Kirwan Hospital for Women. The KHW is located in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia. Townsville is the largest city in Queensland, with a population of more than 150,000 people. KHW is a hospital dedicated solely to the needs of women. It has maternity, gynecology, and neonatal units, whose goals are to provide the best quality care for women and their newborns. Kirwan Hospital for Women has the only Level III neonatal unit outside of Brisbane. Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire The play, ‘A street car named desire’ was written by an author named Tennessee Williams. His real name was Thomas Lanier. He assumed the name ‘Tennessee’ in 1938 because he said, â€Å"the Williams fought the Indians for Tennessee.† Tennessee was born on March 26th 1911 in Columbus Mississippi. When he was a teenager he realised the life of a young writer was going to be something similar to the defence of the stockade against a band of peasants. A description reminiscent of Blanches battles with Stanley in the street car named desire is what Tennessee was trying to refer to his own life. The play was set in New Orleans which is named Elysian Fields and runs between the L&N tracks and the river. Elysian Fields is quite a poor and run down area but unlike most other American cities, it has a raffish charm. The houses mostly have a white frame, have a weathered grey colour with rickety outside stairs In scene 1-3 it is all about Blanche getting used to New Orleans. She finds it difficult to like and fit in because it is much different to where she lived before (Belle Reve). This is because Belle Reve was a very upper-class area where as New Orleans is more average, run down and has a mixed community. Blanche doesn’t like New Orleans or where Stella is living. She is very snobbish and thinks it is a dump. â€Å"I thought you would never come back to this horrible place.† this shows that Blanche does not approve of, or likes where Stella is living. Blanche is also implying that she is more superior by the way she is talking. â€Å" I didn’t mean to say that I meant to be nice about it and say – Oh. † this shows that Blanche knows it is a horrible place, but she didn’t want to be rude, so she was meant to say â€Å" Oh † to make it sound as if she likes the place that Stella and Stanley are living in. In scene 2 Stanley starts demonstrating his dislikes for Blanche. He does this because he thinks Blanche sold Belle Reve and kept the money for herself. â€Å"I think you have been swindled.† In scene 2 there is an argument between Stanley and Blanche about Belle Reve. Stanley is angry because he wants proof on paper that Belle Reve was not sold by Blanche for herself. Blanche ends up wining the argument by proving Stanley wrong about Belle Reve, that it was infact lost and not sold by Blanche.
